Position Title: Monitoring & Evaluation Coordinator for Pregnant Woman Group ( PWG) Project)
No of Vacancy: 1
Purpose: The position holder will be responsible for designing and implementing the M&E activities of the USAID Project; i.e. designing M&E plan, monitoring the project activities on a regular basis, developing and maintaining Management information System and collecting and analyzing of the project for ensuring that the project M&E activities to achieve its result in the achievement of its intended output in a cost effective and timely manner with closely work with Government Health management Information system(HMIS). S/he will work under the overall guidance and supervision of Project Manager of PWG.
Terms and Location: Fixed term employment till 31st July 2017 based in Country Office, Lalitpur.
Required Qualifications & Experiences:
- Master’s Degree in Public Health, Social Science or any relevant subject.
- At least 4 years of work experience in health program including a strong research background, strong use of HMIS system of Government management information system and/or development projects particularly designing and executing M&E plan.
- Experience working in INGO/NGOs work experiences, using statistical, analytical, database and other standard software i.e. Epi Info, Excel, Access, SPSS, SAS, etc.
- Preferred experience in M&E of USAID’s funded INGO/NGO, maternal health/ Health projects.
- Collect and analyse the data in relation to the project activities and ensure that use of data and information are in consistence with Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), Plan International and USAID requirements.
- Prepare tools, data collection, and analysis and prepare report as required by project milestone and M&E plan (e.g. milestones logical framework. Program performance tracking, data flow chart, M&E manuals exist plan etc.).
Undertake deadline oriented work and critical review of research and evaluation proposal and reports. - Work closely with the Government health system, Plan International Nepal, PWG project team, Non- government and other key stakeholders.
- Build capacity of districts based MNCH Officer in training, data collection and use of M & E tools.
- Identify and evaluate strengths and weaknesses in project M&E tools: data collection and management of data, inline project data system with government HMIS and share with Government officials in regular basis.

Position Title: Project Officer for AWASAR Project

About the Project: Plan International Nepal is implementing Protection of Girls and Young Women Working in Entertainment Establishments (AWASHAR) Project phase II from 01 January 2014.The project will end on 31 December 2017.The project aims to rescue, rehabilitation, reintegration as well as focuses for empowering girls and young women to claim their right and capacitate duty bearers holding their effective responsibility on behalf of enhancing girls and young women’s right working in entertainment sectors in Itahari Sub Metropolitan City. The project also works with source districts Dhankuta, Bhojpur, Morang, Sankhuwasabha and Terhathum for strengthening child protection mechanism with sensitization on the child protection issues through providing districts and VDC level awareness as well as lobby to mobilize local resources for ensuring child rights.
Purpose: The position holder will be responsible to support Project Coordinator in implementing, supervising and monitoring project activities of AWASAR project in coordination with the District Child Welfare Boards (DCWBs) of source districts in particular and ensure project reports (financial and program) are prepared and submitted.
Term and Location: Fixed term employment till 31st December 2017 based in Sunsari Programme Unit.
Required Qualifications & Experiences:
- Bachelor Degree in Social Work or Gender and Development or Rural Development, Child or Human Rights or relevant field.
- At least 2 years experiences on girls rights issues in general and girls working in the entertainments sector in particular.
- Experience and knowledge on lobbing, advocacy, child right and protection issues, community led development process.
- INGO work experience preferred.
- Prepare plan and MOU with DCWBs in consultation with Project Coordinator
Coordinate with DCWBs and prepare plan of action for the activity implementation in line with the MoU/Agreement. - Process to get advance, reimbursement of budget and ensure the reimbursement documents from DCWBs.
Assist Project Coordinator to provide technical support, monitoring and implementation of project in the district level and VCPC level activities - Plan and revise agreed activities if needed in district level situation.
- Compile and prepare reports from DCWBs.

Position Title: Media Officer
No of Vacancy: 1
Purpose: The position holder will coordinate for media appearance and support media communications activities to ensure Plan’s accomplishments and stories are communicated effectively and in accordance with communication strategy, national priorities and global guidelines to the wider audiences through media channels ensuring global reputation.
Term and Location: Fixed term employment for 3 years based in Country Office, Lalitpur.
Required Qualifications & Experiences:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism/Media and Communications, or relevant subject.
At least 2 years experiences in development or media field in writing, editing and dissemination on developmental issues. - Experience on development media contents/materials for various targeted audiences.
- Working experiences in mainstream media would be plus point.
- INGO work experience preferred.
- Create, coordinate and compile the production of media materials related to programs/advocacy & campaign to varieties of audiences.
- Develop, nurture and maintain media relations in order to raise Plan International’s profile through various media outlets.
- Support in editing/reviewing and translating documents, reports content of Plan International for internal and external audiences.
- Develop and distribute media materials (press release, op-ed, articles, and feature) to media outlets including district, national and international media and proactively seek media opportunities to show case and promote Plan’s programme and interventions.
- Support in hosting media visits.
- Assist in maximizing the coverage of Plan International programme and campaigns.
- Act as a focal person for disseminating Plan International’s public information.

Position Title: Encoder
No of Vacancy: 1
Purpose: The position holder will be responsible to encode and translate sponsorship communication products prepared by field and received from National Offices ensuring quality of documents. They also translate communication products from sponsors to the sponsored children vice-versa.
Term and Location: Fixed term employment for 3 years based in Sunsari Programme Unit
Required Qualifications & Experiences:
- At least 10+2 pass, Bachelors’ Degree preferred.
- At least 1 year relevant experience.
- Computer skills especially email, internet database, Photoshop, excel, word etc.
- English and Nepali language competency both verbal and written, local dialect a plus.
- Enter and update Sponsored Child (SC) profile, photos and data into Plan’s Software within the given timeframe.
Process photographs of new Sponsored Child Information in Plan’s photo processing software. - Review SC profile mismatch and missing information and report to Sponsorship Communication Coordinator (SCC) by next working day.
- Print Sponsored Child Information (SCI)/Sponsored Child Updates (SCU) as per the guidelines of Sponsorship Manual or as per the instruction provided by the Sponsorship Department.
- Scan first and last photos of SC while translating Graduation Memorandum of the Sponsored Child (GMSC).
- Scan email communication (ECO) response letters and farewell letters and farewell received from SC.
- Enter, print and upload Cancellation memorandum of the Sponsored Child (CMSC) and GMSC in the Child Data, without any error on the same day the document is received.
- Encode other necessary data of survey, census and research study finding based on PU need.
- Periodic reporting to supervisor on quality aspect of encoding based on the experience while encoding SCI/SCU.
- Translate SC letters (response/acknowledgement) from Nepali to English.
